Did a system update today of 178 packages (in preparation for Natty's release tomorrow) which executed just fine no issues. However when I restarted the normal splash screen appears up until the K logo appears then just turns into a black screen with a visible mouse arrow and that's it, system halts.
Have scoured through the forum and tried a couple of fixes to no avail.
Really not keen on doing a re-install as there's data I wish to keep.
best I can get out of it at the moment is command prompt screen.
Hope Natty is more stable.
