                  Re: [SOLVED] Minecraft and Java

Hi, I'm a little new to Kubuntu and not very versed with Linux in general but am a fairly advanced computer user, however I think I may have done something wrong here. I put in the code in as written, and when I try to execute my minecraft.jar I get this...

                  Code:
                  dave@dave-Veriton-M460:~/Downloads$ sudo java -jar minecraft.jar
java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "javaw": java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory

                      at net.minecraft.MinecraftLauncher.main(MinecraftLauncher.java:36)

                    Re: [SOLVED] Minecraft and Java

First, you shouldn't need to execute this command using sudo.

Second, look at the top of this page at reply #15. Same "error" message. These are errors that developers might use but are entirely meaningless to us normal users.

Am I wrong in assuming that the game still runs? And don't use sudo.
