Missing list of wireless networks in Network Manager plasmoid

I have the Network Manager plasmoid in my panel, but when I click it, I do not get the list of networks I can connect to. I am able to connect to the nearest network, but can not change networks unless I reboot.

The list is blank. Clicking on the plasmoid, then clicking on the adapter gives me nothing. I used to get the whole list here...

    Kubuntu 10.10, KDE 4.6
