Error: "WICD Network Manager needs administrative priviledges"

I had to reinstall WICD to fix another problem, and now - every time I boot up, it asks me for my admin password. After I enter in the password, WICD doesn't appear to be running.

I have tried removing WICD and reinstalling it, but that didn't help.

I guess I could just reinstall the entire Kubuntu 10.10, but I would rather not do that.

Anyway, here is the log from WICD:

Re: Error: "WICD Network Manager needs administrative priviledges"

hello how have you removed the software wicd and have you also removed the complete configuration files it is important that the appliation completely is removed including the configuration files. I use synaptic instead of kpackage.

What is happening when you go back to the network manager have you then connection, please wait before you reinstall Kubuntu it is better to find out what is going wrong and how can we learning to solve problems for now and in the future. Please send an new output to the forum.
