Re: Wireless network not working after upgrade too 10.10
Hi there
rfkill list all shows as follows:
tanya@acer-aspire-3680:~$ rfkill list all
tanya@acer-aspire-3680:~$
As for the wifi switch on my laptop that is always on. I've checked it by running ubuntu 10.04 on a live cd and installing the additional drivers. It picked up the wireless networks around me no problem.
Output for /etc/network/interfaces is:
tanya@acer-aspire-3680:~$ sudo /etc/network/interfaces
[sudo] password for tanya:
sudo: /etc/network/interfaces: command not found
tanya@acer-aspire-3680:~$
Any ideas?

I think your suggestion of returning to 10.4 with a fresh reinstall (and you know how to get your wireless working in that release) is a good one. An advantage is that 10.4 is a Long Term Support (LST) distro, which means that it still has over two years of support left. That will be plenty of time to get you to the next LST release, and PAST all the changes Kubuntu Maverick (autoconfiguration, sound, video, wireless) is undergoing right now.
