    Microphone on Dell Latitude 2100

    Hi there,

I think updating to 10.10 has dropped support for the Microphone on the Dell Latitude 2100 netbook.
(On the plus side the proprietary touchscreen and wireless worked straight from the install, which they never did before).

I'm not sure how to go about debugging this as all the guides seem to be gnome-centric.

    Can anyone help?

I thought I had this problem, too but it turns out my mic was just muted. Check your settings (not kmix).

check alsa mixer, its prolly muted. check kmix also (first) how ever on my laptop i had to remove pulseaudio all together to get my mic to work for some reason it refused to work for only some programs in lucid with pluseaudio installed. Good Luck

Gotcha! Must have been muted before I did the install. (/home is on a separate partition).

I'm happy to say the Latitude 2100 is fully supported out of the box on Maverick

Installed QARecord for a quick test, I must say I like the improvements to KPackageKit!
