    Printer driver for Canon ir1025n

I am hoping some one can help me. I recently purchased a Canon ir1025n printer and I have two Linux computers that I would like to use with it. When I tried to install it I could not find the appropriate drivers and tried the next closest one, but they did not work. So is there any hope for me? There are no Linux drivers listed on the Canon website and google didn't produce anything either. Thanks for the help.

    Hi....

Does the "ir" stand for "ImageRunner?" If so, the closest I was able to find under The Linux Foundation's database was the 1023N, which is reported to work pretty well (or "works mostly.") What driver did you try installing?

Thanks for the reply. That is the one I tried. I know that this printer will work with PCL5e and PCL6. If that is of any help. I am pretty new to the Linux world, so I might be doing something wrong. Linux does seem to find it once I give it the address.

If you used the Canon search database and it shows no Linux printer for that model, and you checked the linuxprinting.org site and it doesn't show one, then your last hope was to buy a Turboprint driver here:

        http://www.turboprint.info/printers_Canon.html

however, my check of that page indicates that you're out of luck.

p.s. My Canon PIXMA iP6220D works marvelously from a Windows VM, running under VMWare on my Linux system.
