    Live cd wants a login

Trying to do a clean install on a laptop and the live cd comes up to a login screen. I can't for the life of me figure out what the login and password is supposed to be to login. Has anyone else had this problem with the latest RC iso?

have you tried leaving the login and passwords blank ? have you followed the live cd instructions in the Ubuntu documentation ? https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCD#Logging in

I did try leaving it blank, that didn't seem to work. I've used other combinations that I've seen in other places like demo and root but nothing works so far. i'm downloading a different ISO now hoping that it's just a build problem with the ISO.

I just thought someone might know what the default login and password is that they use for their Live cd image.

I can confirm this. Both Ubuntu and Kubuntu daily builds (10/4/2010) want password, and leaving username/password blank had no effect. using "ubuntu"/blank passwd has no effect either. Can't login. I'm downloading todays daily build and I'll check if the same problem remains.
