Maverick fails to boot from live-usb.(Solved)

I have been trying to cram Kubuntu Maverick onto a usb-plug using usb-creator a couple of times now. The problem is that everytime i try booting, everything stops at the SYSLINUX screen. There is a message telling me "Unknown keyboard in configuration file.
What could be wrong here, and does anybody know how to fix it? Is it even a Maverick problem, or should this thread be moved somewhere else?

    Bug Description

    Binary package hint: syslinux

After i created a bootable usb key i booted up the system from USB and instead of the iso content i received the error message: "Unkown keyword in configuration file"...

Well, I see I am not the only one. Thanks for the quick response.

EDIT: Tried the fix mentioned in your link, and it worked like a charm.
