Jumping on the Maverick train

I've now downloaded the Alpha 3 iso and intend to install it besides my Lucid. I hope it will be more like an enjoyable train ride and not like a bull ride at a rodeo

Is there a bug list for open bugs in Alpha 3? (Besides the "Known Issues".) The Technical Overview only has a link for reporting bugs, but no link for currently open bugs in Alpha 3. First thing you should do when reporting a bug is check with the open bugs list if it hasn't already been reported.

Does Maverick include Kde 4.5 RC2 or Kde 4.4.5? If the latter, can I update Maverick from the Kde beta repositories?
Shinda Sekai Sensen

Kubuntu Maverick RC x64 w/ Kde 4.5.2 (main)
Kubuntu 10.04 x64 w/ Kde 4.5.1 to be wiped, no point in keeping it any longer

You are filing bugs against an application not an Ubuntu development version.

There are milestone bugs > Milestones >> Maverick Alpha 3:

Bugs:
2 New, 4 Invalid, 3 Confirmed, 5 Triaged, 2 In Progress, 4 Fix Committed, 91 Fix Released

I think that the KDE bugs should go to the > KDE Bug Tracking System. Packaging bugs should go to the Launchpad. Links > Topic: Please Read before posting a bug

Unofficially it is 4.5.0 > Topic: KDE SC 4.5.0. There was/are the KDE 4.5.0 packages available before the timeout. Here the Maverick is telling:
:~$ kde4-config --version
Qt: 4.7.0
KDE Development Platform: 4.5.00 (KDE 4.5.0)
kde4-config: 1.0

Ok, good to know.

Sweet
So there's already 4.5.0 ahead of the official release on the 10th (well, it was supposed to be released on the 4th, at first).

That's interesting, I thought that technically we were going to get 4.5RC3.

It's certainly working well for me, anyway.

Clarification

The Maverick packages (> kdebase 4:4.5.0-0ubuntu1 , etc) and the applications are identifying themselves as KDE 4.5.0. BUT (1) the KDE is not KDE SC 4.5.0 until the KDE officially releases the sources.

There will be revised Kubuntu KDE 4.5.0 packages when the KDE SC 4.5.0 is officially released.

(1) This has been happened earlier. The tarballs are available before the release moment but there could be drawbacks. The second try with the KDE 4.5.0 > KDE 4.5.0 tarballs (try#2) uploaded

I see... So the real final packages will be versioned "kdebase 4:4.5.0-1ubuntu1", right?

New packages are "b" versions > [ubuntu/maverick] kdebase 4:4.5.0b-0ubuntu1 (Accepted):
kdebase (4:4.5.0b-0ubuntu1) maverick; urgency=low
