    amixer cron behavior

    OK if I type

    Code:
    amixer -c 0 sset Front,0 55%,55%
    I get

    Simple mixer control 'Front',0
    Capabilities: pvolume pswitch penum
Playback channels: Front Left - Front Right
    Limits: Playback 0 - 27
    Mono:
    Front Left: Playback 15 [56%] [-21.00dB] [on]
    Front Right: Playback 15 [56%] [-21.00dB] [on]
But if I put the exact same line in a cron it sets it to 100%
    Ideas?
    Thanks

    Re: amixer cron behavior

No idea, but I'm curious - why set mixer levels as a cron job?
we see things not as they are, but as we are.

      Re: amixer cron behavior

I leave my PC running and have cron unmute the speakers at certan times encase I forget so I can hear my talking clock program or the scanner that's hooked to the line in or Skype ring if I lay down. I just want to make the levels are set right when it does.
      Thanks
