Updated to KDE 4.5.1 and have been running compiz fusion with emerald. Sometimes when I boot I get a text prompt to login with my username/password, no gui and sometimes it logs in without prompt. And yes I do have auto login enabled for my username in login screen/system settings/convenience.

Re: Text logon sometimes
I noticed you have the exact same nvidia card. When that started happening to me, I installed the latest nvidia drivers, version 256.53. That stopped the VT login. version 256.53 is now in the repositories.Originally posted by ICMikeUpdated to KDE 4.5.1 and have been running compiz fusion with emerald. Re: Text logon sometimes
I've always installed my video card drivers from system/hardware drivers. I do not see that version as an option. A search in synaptic did not turn up anything close to that either.
How did you install that version?Dell Inspiron 531/AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 4GB RAM/GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
