"Add to desktop" does nothing

Activities vs. widgets

The box used to say "different activities for each desktop". Now it says "different widgets for each desktop". Is that a substantive change or just a different name for the same thing?

Have to say I really don't know I only know the box needs to be checked to allow for different wallpapers on each virtual screen.


As an aside:

I never investigated the 'activities' tool until very recently (the option in the toolbox) and it seems quite powerful with its use of linkages. However as a casual user it holds no attraction for me. Your set-up seems a bit more commercial so maybe of use?
