    Unwanted applets in taskbar

One minor annoyance I have encountered since upgrading to Lucid is that two applets appear in the taskbar that I don't want: printer applet and KBluetooth. Every time I start Kubuntu, I have to quit these applications. I haven't been able to figure out why they are running, so I also can't figure out how to prevent them from running.

Automatically Running an Application on KDE Start

By placing a .desktop file under share/autostart (either under $KDEHOME or under $KDEDIR) the application described by this desktop file will be automatically started when KDE starts...
    At here:
    Code:
    ls -1 /usr/share/autostart/
    irkick.desktop
    kaddressbookmigrator.desktop
    kalarm.autostart.desktop
    kbluetooth.desktop
    kde4-knetworkmanager-autostart.desktop
    kgpg.desktop
    klipper.desktop
    kmix_autostart.desktop
    konqy_preload.desktop
    korgac.desktop
    krunner.desktop
    kwrited-autostart.desktop
    nepomukserver.desktop
    plasma-desktop.desktop
    printer-applet.desktop
    restore_kmix_volumes.desktop

Thanks! I knew about ~/.kde/Autostart, but not this location. It's nice to have this annoyance cleaned up.
