    Re: kernel update

    My have found the Problem.

The new kernel was showing in the grub boot List. When I went to synaptic to try to reinstall it.It was showing that it was not installed.I installed the kernel. So far it is working.

    Why would this happen ?

        Re: kernel update

Here's a strange one. My first reboot after I reinstalled the Nvidia driver on the new kernel, it failed to pick up my keyboard. I had nada at the login greeter. Not even Alt-SysRq -- absolutely nothing there. Had to use the reset button -- haven't done that in a very long while. Next time it came up correctly.
