Resolution not saving after installing in VirtualBox

    Hi all,

I installed Kubuntu 10.04 in VirtualBox and installed the Guest Additions. The host machine is Windows XP. However, the resolution is defaulting to 1 higher than I would like, so the window is partly off the screen. I set it to my desired resolution (1024x768) but upon restart of the guest OS, the resolution is back to the larger one.

Can someone please show me how to set the default resolution?

I had to install the DKMS package for resolutions to work properly in virtualbox. Just go inside your virtual machine and
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install dkms
If that's not the issue, try resizing the virtualbox window. Sometimes that helps.
