Nepomukservices running after reboot despite being turned off

Since upgrading to Lucid, I find nepomukserver and several instances of nepomukservices running even though I have turned off desktop search and disabled Nepomuk Search Module in Service Manager.

Is there something I'm missing or is Nepomuk just being defiant?

I've seen that too, although it appeared to be taking up a bit of memory than CPU activity in my case.

I assume you have turned it off with the strigi gui? Try uninstalling the virtuoso-nepomuk package, which seems to stop it altogether.

Good idea. I was so focused on turning it off, I didn't even consider just uninstalling it altogether. Thanks, I'll give that a try.
