[SOLVED] Network connection problem using WICD

    hi!
I'm italian so if english is bad tell me.
I've tried to install WICD replacing network manager because with this last one I have problems connecting to Wi-Fi hidden connection of my university.
WICD had run until I've uninstalled network manager: now it said that it has problem with the password but the password is correct.
I've tried to re-install and uninstall but the problems don't go ok.
I've installed WICD from this tarball http://sourceforge.net/projects/wicd/files/
but I've tried to install it in various ways...maybe the different way of installation have done some disaster...

    Re: HELP!

    solved doing(suggested by a friend):
check to remove from package manager:
    network-manager
    network-manager-kde
    network-manager-pptp
    network-manager-pptp-kde

    check to have
    wicd
    wicd-gtk
    wicd-kde
    wicd-deamon
    phyton-wicd

    after this:
    sudo apt-get remove --purge network-manager network-manager-kde
    sudo update-rc.d NetworkManager remove

    Goodbye!
