    Lenovo Trackpad

I somehow turned off the touchpad on my laptop so now only the little red "joystick" in the keyboard works. For the life of me I can't find the setting to switch it back. I changed everything back to the defaults and still no joy. What's really weird is that it work at the login screen but not within KDE, making me think it's a KDE setting and not X11. I know that the Function-F8 is supposed to switch between the touchpad and the joystick, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. For the record it's a Thinkpad SL410. Thanks in advance for any help.

if you have a windows partition, sometimes turning it on there and restarting to kubuntu can make it work
i know my wireless doesnt work if i switch it off in windows and then go to kubuntu
    no idea why though
