How to change Digital Clock from 24-hour to AM/PM?

I am running Kubuntu 10.10 and was wondering how I could change the digital clock on the taskbar to show AM/PM time instead of 24-hour. I check the locale settings and it shows that the system time is in AM/PM but Date & Time show 24-hour.

You have to make the change via K > System Settings > Locale > Time & Dates > Time format
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007

The Time format shows "PH:MM:SS AMPM" but the clock still shows 24-hour time.

After you've made the selection, the clock won't reflect the change until you restart your system.

I've restarted the system but the clock still shows in 24-hour time.

What version of Kubuntu are you running? What version of KDE?

Well, setting the Time format and restarting works here, and should for you as well. Have you tried removing the Clock widget and readding it?

I've removed the digtal clock widget and re-added it, but it still shows 24-hour time.

I have the same problem in Kubuntu 12.04. The Locale time format is showing the am/pm but the clock insists on 24hr clock. I have rebooted and have also removed the widget and put it back in, to no avail.

                      An Option

                      http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php...?content=92825
                      Description:
Plasmoid to show date and time in adjustable format using rich text.
Developed and tested on KDE 4.8 with Qt 4.7 (Kubuntu 11.10).
Available from the Ubuntu repositories (plasma-widget-adjustableclock) : http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?ke...ll&section=all

With the adjustable clock it is possible to have both the 12 hour and the 24 hour format with the clock.
