Amarok do not play MP3-files after clean installation of Kubuntu 16.04

Amarok plays FLAC-files OK.
Am I missing a plungin?

you need to install mp3 codecs .. they are not free software and therefore can not be distrubuted on the install disc.
i forget the name of the package it might be mpeg123 or libmp3 . if you want all the "restricted" stuff try installing kubuntu-restricted-extras package that should pull mp3 support and flash
