    Muon can't authenticate

I've noticed Muon acting strangely lately.

For instance I tried to install an app today and muon popped up a notice that the package couldn't be installed as no authorization was entered, but it never popped up a box asking for credentials.

Searched the start menu for a way to report this apparent bug but there's no usable result.

    Suggestions?

Because it's not one app, it's any and all apps, packages, whatever.

When you open Muon, look in the lower right corner. You may see "Rebuilding Search Index". Let that complete. Then try installing what you want. Painful. That's why I prefer the terminal.

I have closed Muon before the message "Rebuilding Search Index" finished. Later, trying to use Muon, I got various messages, like can't find such and such, or such and such missing. Best to bite the bullet and let that Index build.

Like was stated, the index needed to build, apparently. After I let that complete, it works fine.

That (index rebuilding) continues to be the number one complaint about Muon Package Manager, and I'd have to agree. Why the developer felt it necessary to rebuild the index EVERY time it's launched is beyond me. It isn't necessary; a simple trigger check would fix this.
