Breeze Dark Desktop Theme - Better, but the Panel

The Breeze Dark desktop theme has had a nearly unreadable combination of background and text for the K menu, system tray, etc.

I noticed today that this has been fixed in the menu:

Name:	breeze_dark.png
Views:	41
Size:	31.0 KB
ID:	5803

The mouseovers for the system tray icons and clock also look good.

But notice the 'missing' K menu icon? It is there, and clickable, you just can't see it, or the clock, or the system tray icons.

If anyone had the panel problem and worked around it, please post.

I have an Nvidia card, but use the nouveau drivers. This is 15.04, without the ci PPA.

    Edit:

After trying a test user, and seeing the panel readable, I discovered that Blur makes the K menu icon, etc., show up. It was 'broken' for me because I turn off all desktop effects.

Turned on Blur, and Background Contrast, in my regular account. So far, so good. Maybe Blur isn't the beast it used to be.

I think it also has to do with how well the gpu supports various opengl versions. I simply cannot get dark breeze to display the kmenu, etc properly on my old laptop, but on my less old PC, with a reasonable and fairly new graphics card, it works properly once I set the compositor to glx/ opengl 3.1. (both already have blur and contrast on)

Ooookay, I take that back. It will work on the ole laptop, doing what you did. What I thought was a check mark in the Blur and Background Contrast were really a diagonal "half-box". Once I clicked each to make them fully checked, it works. Go figure. Thank you for helping me notice this

Now the real question is what does this half-selected box means, darnit!

Hey, guys! Being struggling with the same issue here, tweaking themes and colours in settings (since I'm not much of a tech-savvy) when finally found your posts! But where those "check mark in the Blur and Background Contrast" options are?..

    Cheers, thank you!
