Displaying that image of Veterans Day on the page is like making the assumption that the whole community here approves it. I believe people here might have different political opinions, but I don't think this forum should be turned into a political one. There are others forums for that. This is a Kubuntu Forum.

Besides, if someone has the right posting something praising some political point of view or anything like that, I think I also have the right to post a different point of view. But no, my comment pointing to an article criticizing the "Thank you veteran" was deleted two times here. Talk about some freedom, huh?

But I'll say it again:

Stop Thanking the Troops for Me: No, They Don’t Protect Our Freedoms!

Oh, I've just got a private message from Snowhog:

This forum is hosted in the United States. Our host, Open Source, serves in our Military. Today, in the United States, we honor those who served our Nation, and many who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their Nation.

You are allowed your opinion, but I won't permit an assault against our values; about our Veterans, to be posted here.

Well, thank you for allowing me to have my opinion. But those are your values, not the values of the whole USA. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people in the USA criticized and still criticize this militaristic nationalism and all the war your military was involved. A lot of people protested against the Vietnan War, the Iraq War, and many other. Lots of thinkers and intellectuals have showed how this is very wrong, what lies behind all those wars. Expressing a different opinion is now "an assault". Talk about some freedom, huh? But then again, I don't think this kind of discussion should occur here.
