I have been getting this error messqe and I have tried changing the repository location within the sources file but konsol wont allow me to insert a different location for some reason, nor can I work out how to exit it with the control keys listed at the bottom of the editor screen it show an up arrow + X which I assumed was control + X but it did not work. I would appreciate some help in getting my updates working once mroe, so thanks in advance....

Ubuntu may still be suffering from DDOS attacks on various networks, including the package archives. I am not seeing the errors here on the other side of Australia, but this might be the specific local servers each of us are being redirected to.

Assuming you are in nano, ctrl-o saves the file, ctrl-x exits. Lower case letters here; not sure if caps work or not. If iot is asking to save the file, just hit n to skip, and it should close. The worst-case scenario is to just close the terminal, assuming you haven't been able to save the file. No changes are written to the file in this case, but you might make a copy of it just in case before doing that.

To better edit this option, don't edit the file itself, use the Software Sources tool, usually accessed from Discover's settings area. I am not sure if this is broken in 25.10 like it was in previous releases. If you don't see it in Discover, you can open it using sudo software-properties-qt

There is a section where you can change the server location. I'd suggest going for the Main instead of a different country or more local option, as this option will send you to a reasonably speedy server in the worldwide pool.
