bluetooth

I'm now to linux and i've been enjoying kubuntu for a while now, but i bought an xbox series x controller and i can' connect it properly, it shows up on the list so i can click the pair button but then i get an eroor saying it didn't work. I deleted bluez and reinstalled it but that didn't work. I then tried to pair my phone to see if the controller was the issue but the same thing happens. I can also not see my pc in my phone when i scan for devices.
Do i just accept it and use cable(which works fine)? Or is there anything else i can do?
Sidenote: i also have the problem that my internet is softblocked and sometimes randomly disconnects which then i have to restart and it works again, it also takes a bit before i get a connection so discord always does the "retrying in # seconds"
