So, this started a couple days ago when I tried playing an fps game on ubuntu 24.04. The game ran poorly compared to windows and had a ton of input lag. I fixed the input lag with some settings but my gpu was never getting past 385 MHz at 55°c. Now that was possibly down to using the 550 nvidia drivers. However I have a very good reason to do that. I use blender a lot and running blender on any other nvidia driver would cause my gpu to "fall off the bus"
So I went to reddit, mistake ik, they suggested pika os and kubuntu as a potentially better gaming os. So I tried pika first. I didn't like hyprland at all, besides, all the games crashed anyway. So I tried pika firing desktop. Well I installed that and the only thing that showed once i logged in was my cursor and the background and nothing worked, no taskbar at all, nothing. So I went back to my still installed ubuntu 24.04 to see if a newer nvidia driver would fix it. Welp, as soon as I installed the driver there was a quark error and now my ubuntu doesn't detect my ethernet cable, wifi card, track pad, or Bluetooth.
OK, I'll just install kubuntu 25.04 on my other drive and move my files over. Went through the install process worked fine at first. Attached my 4k TV as a monitor. It was automatically set to 1080p, thats fine, I'll just switch to nvidia drivers instead of nouveau. Going through the menus I notice a weird glitching issue all over my screen that looks like chunks of video moving to different parts of the screen, like when watching a glitched mpeg or something that stores video in tiles.
So I Switch to the nvidia 575 proprietary, open drivers. Now my tv connects still once i log in but just shows black. Also it has the same issue ubuntu did. No way to connect to wifi, or ethernet, no Bluetooth, no trackpad. And yes I tried going back to nouveau and it still doesn't work
So... thanks for sticking around, now for the system info. Too bad I dont have inxi and no way to download it 🙃

Yes kubuntu 25.04 is freshly installed (not live) and installed alongside by broken ubuntu
So, currently my thoughts are that since its a cheap manufacturer its just permanently broken, its been having various small issues for a bit now. The chunks on screen when using nouveau make me think vram overheating or just broken. Since I dont see a faulty hdmi port causing issues where a chunk of pixels moves vertically up since signals dont work that way. Could also be a broken gpu or cpu. This sounds like problems that could be fixed by reflowing those parts but I dont have that capability. If it is a software issue I hope someone here can help, please and thankyou.
