I can't get my wifi to auto connect to the right wireless network

I have two networks in the house, one for the "front' end and one for the "back" where I spend my time. I can connect to either fine, but with my primary I have to enter my password each time I connect (after suspension, etc.). My secondary would connect automatically and not ask for a password. I have edited the connection "configure network connections" repeatedly and no luck. My secondary shows that it retains the password but with my primary, no matter how many times I enter it, it does not retain it. I have compared the configurations and see no real difference. I have unchecked the auto connect box in the secondary and made sure it is checked in the primary, no luck.

    What am I missing?

    Kubunto 16.04
    KDE Plasma 5.5.5
    Kernel 4.8.0-39
    64-bit
