After trying many of the solutions proposed on this forum, I am still unable to get my Synaptics touchpad to work properly. I have installed Ksynaptics with xserver-xorg-input-synaptics and cpad-common. When I try to configure the touchpad with ksynaptics, I can't even adjust the scrolling borders, and any change I make doesn't seem to have any effect.
