I haven't been keeping up on KDM, I just know that that was a bug for a long time. Remember that kubuntu is switching to lightdm for 12.10+

To start an application at start-up goto menu -> Settings -> System settings > Start Up & Shut down

Then in Autostart simply add your application.

For Virtual keyboards have a look at http://qt-apps.org/content/show.php/...content=107388

    Onscreen Keyboard at login

    Hi,

I've installed Kubuntu 12.04 on a tablet Acer Iconia Tab W500.
It is needed to have an on-screen keyboard at login. I haven't found a way to make kvkbd visible at login.
In addition, if there is any other alternative onscreen keyboards, it would be worth trying them. kvkbd has some bugs. I've tried the ones listed in Muon, but no-one worked.

    Thank you very much.

By the way, is multi-touch supported? I've installed touchscreen's driver, but only got right-clicks simulation.

    Machine:
    Acer Iconia Tab W500.
CPU AMD C-5 dual core, 64 bit
    VGA: ATI Radeon HD 6290.

    System:
    Kubuntu 12.04
    KDE 4.8.5
    Grub 0.97-29ubuntu66
