First let me apologize if this is posted in the wrong place - but I am a newbie at this somewhat. Normally I have found that installing Linux is not a simple process - but has gotten better as a matter of fact installing Kubuntu 8.04 went without any problems at all. But -- usually I just add the line "acpi=off" to the (Grub menu.lst) and sound works this time though I added it and sound works but touchpad mouse stops working. Not quite sure how to fix this.
