I am wondering how to configure a supported device, in this case, a wireless usb adapter. I know that ndiswrapper is used when having problems or for unsupported devices but what if you use a supported device that just isn't working (for you)?
I even noticed that 'wicb' and a module for my device is included in the repositories now. But, they didn't help me (yet?).
I also would like to know the best ways to initialize the device (module? modprobe) as I often see commands featuring modprobe used but I am unfamiliar with the command and functions.
Is there a good way of searching for a file? I wondered in which directories any mention of my device or drivers were (e.g. zd1211 etc.). Could someone take a stab at that? It would be appreciated. I was using 'find' and 'more' but for some reason, I am unable to dublicate the searches that were working before.
