Hi,
I’ve noticed that my iGPU goes to almost 100% load when the taskbar isn’t visible, as soon as I hover the mouse over the taskbar, the load drops dramatically.
When I move the mouse cursor away from the taskbar, it takes 10-15 seconds for the iGPU usage to return to 100%.
There are no programs open other than nvtop, hence the system should be completely idle.
Has anyone ever seen this?
I have no background image and the taskbar is set to “autohide”, because of my OLED Monitor.
Tested with kernel 6.14, 6.16.5 and kernel 6.17, OS Kubuntu 25.04 and Kubuntu 25.10.
System:
CPU: AMD 9950x
GPU: iGPU
