22.10 NoGo Terminal with Ctrl-Alt-T

How come Ctrl-Alt-T works?
How come Ctrl-Alt-T Opens Terminal,
with 2 missing check marks, no tick symbols,
with Kubuntu 22.04.1 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) ?

My guess? it worked before because Ubuntu had this setting in the standard xorg config before. So it worked in all desktops. Now, Ubuntu uses Wayland as the default, so needs to set this shortcut using desktop-specific settings as the xcb settings are now useless for Wayland. The Desktop-specific (Gnome) settings work in both Wayland and Xorg, so this is where Ubuntu now sets this shortcut. And the Gnome keyboard shortcuts are not included in the KDE Plasma desktop (incompatible? settings files I imagine?)
My guess is those xcb configs are no longer used, or don't exist. At some point I will see if I can dig in and see.

Plasma by default does not set a shortcut to open a terminal via a shortcut. Kubuntu uses Plasma's default desktop settings, usually.
So unless Kubuntu decide to change away from Plasma default settings, you will need to do so yourself.

22.10 but suggestion is not needed with
22.04.1

2 ticks are missing and
Ctrl-Alt-T works with
no check marks, no tick symbols,
with 22.04.1 LTS.

Ctrl-Alt-T works with 2 missing check marks at
1. the top 1st to activate the subgroup, Examples _ .
2. Run Konsole _ . See images below.

Could well ask why a Red Delicious Apple doesn't taste the same as a Golden Delicious Apple; they're both apples, right? Just do as acheron has suggested.

That shortcut is not enabled by default in Plasma, but is one of the examples given in systemsettings. Where it can be enabled

How come programmers stop allowing Ctrl-Alt-T ?

No one is stopping anyone.
You should be able to add it via System Settings.

Not sure if Kubuntu has always added this as a shortcut, but I often have to add it myself in other distros. They probably have gone with the (iirc) KDE defaults of not having included?
If not, it is a bug/oversight.
