i love kubuntu having tried it but i am a music lover and no matter what distro i have ever tried, the sound when playing music just does not sound as good as in windows. i heard it has something to do with the basic sound driver configuration in the linux kernel. is there some way to get great sound from linux ie, that third dimension and low bass and treble etc but especially like i can get with windows.. the sound is just not as alive in linux as with windows. if i could just get that great sound from linux i could finally keep it on my comp forever. for now i have to use windows just to get great audio. hope someone can help , thank you ps i have tried pulse effects but that did not improve things
