Under 8.4 HH the usb-stick was not even shown in lsusb.
Under 9.10 KK the usb-stick is only shown with the company name Linksys, but no further details.
I downloaded the RA2870STA tar form Ralinktech and compiled and installed it as writtten in the readme file.
the moment I run the forlast command: /sbin/insmod rt2870sta.ko the module is shown in lsmod.
however when rebooting it is gone again.
the last command : /sbin/ifconfig ra0 inet YOUR_IP up
gives an error that ra0 does not exist.
an old Sweex 54 mbps stick is seen immediately, without drivers, but the connection can hardly be made en is lost continously.
what can be done?
