I've got an Epson CX-4700 all-in-one, and my computer is an Athlon XP processor with 512mb ram and geforce 64mb video (HD: 40MB). Kubuntu 7.10 is the only operating system installed.
I can't make the printer work properly. I've already tried the avasys driver, the gutterprint cups driver (both simplified and normal one). The printer typically begins to print, but after a while it stops (generally after printing less than a half page). Once, I waited more than one day, but it didn't complete the printing task.
The scanner only works in black and white. It didn't work in color, and it freezes after a while if I chose gray scale.
I wonder what I can do with my printer.
