I am a fairly new Kubuntu (and Linux) user and need help with an infuriating problem with the use of my keyboard within Kontact (Kubuntu 7.04). When compiling an e-mail, whenever I type in the character "c" the cursor jumps to an apparently random area of the screen (and sometimes off the screen). I wonder if the system is interpreting the "c" as the "Control" key and then taking the next character as some form of extension. There are other keyboard problems but they are far less problematic. I have tried compiling e-mails using Windows Outlook Express and there is no problem.
Can anyone help or advise (by the way, compiling this note has also causes a jump screen immediately following the use of "c").
