You just need to enable/uncomment the dapper-security repositories in your sources.list and you'll be able to get security updates. That line would probably go something like:

deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ dapper security main restricted

Longtime FreeBSD admin, but new to linux.

I installed 6.06-1 LTS, and everything went through ok, except for an error I did not write down about security scanning.

I used the software installer from kde, put in a few new packages, that worked fine.

So now how do I tell it to go out and snag the latest patched binaries for the system supplied stuff?

Any tips appreciated. THanks.
