Sound missing

I installed 16.04 with no issues. There were some updates today and after installing them and rebooting, Plasma is no longer detecting my sound card. When I go in to multimedia it says no output device detected and no audio comes out from anything.

However if I do sudo aplay -l I see the device. Also my Windows VirtualBox plays sounds fine. So something is wrong with just Plasma.

I tried rebooting, etc.

Any suggestions?
