Some parts of Kubuntu stop working
I have had several problems during or after installing a few applications, which occurred more or less frequently, not all at the same time.
1) The search in Kickoff stopped working.
2) I accidentally removed Kickoff application launcher, could not launch anything and could not even log out. How can I restore it when I remove it?
3) Muon Discovery Center stopped responding several times after an installation, then is disappeared from the menu in Kickoff.
4) KDE did not load after logging in, there was just the desktop background and nothing else appeared.
Is there a way to prevent this? Can I solve these problems another way than by reinstalling Kubuntu?
Another problem occurs, but can be solved without reinstallation: A newly created user cannot log in until the administrator logs in and sets the password for the new account again.
