Few days ago I installed Kubuntu 11.10 from a live CD for a friend. Everything is fine except combining diacritics in libreoffice. When I type ā + ̊ I get ā ̊ instead of ā̊. I have now found out that only a few fonts generate the desired outcome in libreoffice while a lot more fonts work fine in other editors, such as kile.
What could cause this on Kubuntu?
