GRUB takes 30 seconds to "move on" -- gotta be something obvious

Hi. I recently made changes to my /etc/default/grub file to modify various behaviors. Now, after I make my selection, the background picture shows for an additional 30 seconds before I'm put into the Kubuntu login screen. Here's my config:
