Kubuntu 11.04 - KDE 4.6.2 - desktop PC
My wifes PC has been running fine on Kubuntu for the past couple of years. I am the one doing the upgrades for her and she do not do any installs on her own.
I have been away from home for a few weeks now, and she sendt me a message yesterday about her pendrives and phone not showing up when she inserts them in the computer.
Her USB headset works fine.
With some guiding over Skype, she did some tests using a pendrive.
The pendrive works fine in in a laptop running Windows XP.
The pendrive can be seen with lsusb.
USB is turned on in BIOS.
We could mount the pendrive manually and see what was on it by using Dolphin after it was mounted.
So the problem is not the hardware itself.
It seems to me that the problem is that it does not show up in the right column in Dolphin and in the notifyer. Do you have any idea what can cause this?
I have been searching a lot, but can not find anything that sounds like this.
