I am using Kubuntu 10.10 on HP Pavilion DV6 having windows7 and 64Bit Kubuntu using WUBI.
I have recently configured to use internet connection based on proxy server and public DNS from 8080 port. Earlier I was using conventional Wired network or wireless network.
I have firestarter installed as a firewall, which was earlier working very well (using auto-enable after detecting network connection) with wired/ wireless connections. However, now when I connect using proxy server, the firewall does not detect that the internet connection is started.
Also there is no option whereby I can opt to start the firewall upon starting the proxy connection. Please explain how Firestarter firewall can be enabled for internet connections with proxy servers.
