    Upgrade install issue - libdrm2

Just did a 12.04 to 12.10 upgrade and it appears to have gone extremely well. Only 1 issue. The libdrm2 will not update and leaves the following error:

    Package: /var/cache/apt/archives/libdrm2_2.4.39-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb
Error: trying to overwrite shared '/usr/share/doc/libdrm2/changelog.Debian.gz', which is different from other instances of package libdrm2:amd64

Does this need some attention with apt-get? Any suggestions?

Try moving that file out of the way and see if the install will finish:
    Code:
    sudo mv /usr/share/doc/libdrm2/changelog.Debian.gz /var/tmp/
Let us know if that works.

Worked perfectly. Thanks for the assist. The upgrade went smooth as could be (other than this minor issue). This is the first truely successful upgrade I've done with Kubuntu since way, way back. Great work. I've been running cleanly and well since yesterday evening.

Cool. You might want to delete that file from /var/tmp, then. No sense keeping useless stuff around.
