    LightDM password field focus

The new lightdm login screens in QQ are nice, but it is annoying having to click the password entry field to type in the password every time. The Ubuntu lightdm greeter automatically focuses the pointer into the password entry field. Does anyone know if this is possible to acheive with the KDE version without being a programmer?

sumski - after entering your username, can you tab into the password box or does it require a mouse click? It's the latter for me, which is mildly annoying.

My username is remembered, don't need to tab, but i will try, and report back.

I've noticed this on all LightDM-KDE themes. The password field has no focus, and no keyboard activity can get there: clicking with the mouse is required. It's sufficiently annoying that I've reverted to KDM.

I recently read a post from tuxmachines about the lightdm kde maintainer wanting to fold it into kde and replace kdm. Maybe I can send them a feature request.

My mistake for not paying attention to the forum this was posted in. From launchpad:

                  QQ: 0.3.0
                  PP: 0.1.1

Haven't had a chance to test the newer version in QQ.

12.04 is 0.1.1 with backports ppa enabled. This focus thing is helluva irritating to me too but I can confirm its gone in 12.10 (VBox Install).

Cool, sounds like it's time to switch then.

I'd hold out just a little more. I've still some oddities creep in. Still seems a little more stable than 12.04

Holy crap! I never tried to type. I was just looking for the blinking cursor to have focus. Thanks for pointing that out.

Is there any way to customize the login screen? The one thing that bothers me the most about the defaults since 12.04 are the gray on gray default backgrounds. In 12.04 you could customize the KDM screen, but I haven't found a way to customize LightDM in 12.10. Steve mentioned reverting back to KDM, how?
