    cannot save bluetooth settings

I just installed kubuntu 10.10, hoping to get the USB bluetooth dongle working.

The dongle is one of those micro ones, lsusb sees it as:

    Code:
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)
I have a bluetooth icon in the tray and when I click on configure adapter, it shows the name and settings. There is a big pink bar saying:

Your default bluetooth adapter is not visible for remote devices. [Fix it]

"Fix it" is a button and when I click on it, nothing happens. Visibility is set to "hidden" (I assume by default) so I tried to change it to "Always visible" and hit OK. I went back in to check the settings, and the pink bar is there again. The visibility setting is reset to "hidden".

Has anyone had this problem before? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

    Best regards,
    mikancic
