konsole missing command prompt

I'm missing the command prompt in konsole after upgrading to jaunty. Anyone have any ideas why this happened? I tried installing other terminal programs and none of them work. ???

I had that problem once, just removed the kde dir

rm -fr .kde

and reboot.

Hi

I have the same problem and deleting the .kde/ did not help.
Good ol' xterm won't event start and gnome-terminal reports
an "error creating the child process".

Running 9.04 on ia64.
The same machine ran 8.10 OK.
