I'm a new kubuntu user, and I'm sorry to say the experience has been killing me. I searched for 5 hours and I can't find out how to make the darn LCD Weather Station widget find my location. I'm in Saint Paul, MN. That's a very big city. I tried putting in my zipcode too.

What do I put in the box?
Why isn't it working?
How can I add a new source?
Why on Earth can't the darn thing be more intuitive? (It took hours to find out how to disable tap-to-click too).

I'm sorry if I'm coming off harsh. I've just never had a more frustrating computer time in my life. Why doesn't windows ever (EVER) have these sorts of issues? There's always either an option present or some info to tell you where to go, what to get, what to do, etc. Here I get (not just one but two!) error boxes saying:
"The place 'Saint Paul' is not valid. The data source is not able to find this place."
Well then can you please tell me WHY it's not valid, what IS valid, and WHERE/HOW to add a decent "data source" that knows of it?
:-\

Yeah you are harsh, had you with no or little experience been exposed to any other OS you'd no doubt have faced similar problems.

I tried the LCD widget and found it woudn't connect to the NOAA weather server.
That could be due to me being outside the US or it might have been an error in the software, chances that server were down seem slim.

But the UK's BBC server did work and showed a clear sky with 13deg. C over in St. Paul.
Yes,
st. paul :P

After an other try the NOAA server did respond and gave two options for St. Paul including Downtown Holman Field MN, it shows 44deg. F...
